Jon and Littlefinger have an awkward chat, Sansa glowers from a railing, and Daenerys gets a surprise visitor on the upcoming "Stormborn" episode.

Other than watching Arya Stark enact sweet revenge for the Red Wedding, poisoning just about every single male important to House Frey, Sunday’s Game of Thrones premiere was really just a set-up for the rest of the seventh season. Cersei and Jaime surveyed the forces coming after them, Daenerys conquered the unoccupied castle of Dragonstone, Jon Snow told the Northmen and Vale knights to prepare for the coming war, Ed Sheeren sang a campfire song for some reason, and Sam sopped shit and served soup. As fans wait patiently to find out where the penultimate season will take them next, HBO released a few photos from the upcoming "Stormborn" episode to provide a few hints.

Here Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Littlefinger (Aiden Gillen) look like they’re having an awkward chat. Did Littlefinger let on about his creepy pursuit of Sansa? The official HBO synopsis for the episode says "Jon faces a revolt," so there is a good chance that Littlefinger has gone back to his one true love: plotting evil plots.

In this one Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) looks over the map of Westeros with her trusted advisers, plus someone new in Dornish dress. From the episode preview, we know it is one of the Sand Snakes—possibly Ellaria. Maybe Dany needs to poison someone before she finally sails across the Blackwater Bay and attacks King’s Landing.

It looks like Sam (John Bradley-West) has finally found a research buddy in Archmaester Marwyn (Jim Broadbent). In the books, Marwyn is known for being the one maester obsessed with magic, so expect their all-nighters to turn up some new facts about the White Walkers.

Jon Snow and his new righthand man, Ser Davos (Liam Cunningham), go out for a little gallop in the snow. Are they heading to Eastwatch-by-the-Sea to help the Wildlings set up defenses against the armies of the dead? Or are they going to Castle Black to fetch Jon’s long-lost brother Bran?

Sansa (Sophie Turner) glowers from the railing, perhaps still pissed that her bastard brother shut her down at the last town hall. If Jon "faces a revolt" this episode, it might be over how the North should react to the Mother of Dragons. The North remembers the horrors of the Mad King, but perhaps Sansa will side with anyone who can set the Lannisters on fire.

Arya (Maisie Williams) arrives in town, presumably King’s Landing, which means that Ed Sheeran didn’t annoy her to death with his weird song. She’s on a mission to kill Cersei, but then again so is half the kingdom, so she better step on it.

"Stormborn" airs Sunday, July 23, on HBO.
